About Us

Craft Supplies Ltd was established by Nick Davidson in 1976 to offer timber, tools and accessories to the woodturning enthusiast.  It developed from a kitchen table idea into what is now internationally recognised as the Home of Woodturning.  For over 30 years it was situated at The Mill, Millers Dale until 2006 when we completed our relocation to our present address in Bradwell, Derbyshire - just 7 miles from Millers Dale - where we continue to run courses and welcome customers to our retail shop.

In 2000 we opened our woodturning centre in France with excellent facilities and offer the opportunity to combine a weeks half day course with a weeks holiday in the wonderful surroundings of the French Pyrenees.

In 2004 we took over the exclusive distribution of the Janik range of Pyrography equipment and the following year we took over Art Veneers, a long established specialised supplier of Veneers, Marquetry and accessories for the furniture trade.  Along with Janik, this addition fitted very well into the Craft Supplies range.

In 2006 we produced our last printed catalogue.  In the current market, where product availability and price is constantly changing, we have decided not to produce printed material.  Please browse our website where you will find our online shop, details of how to contact us, course dates and tutor details, shop opening times along with directions how to find us if you wish to plan a visit.
